Classic Classico! Red bricking color with all the wonderful tell-tale signs of the region and style. Bright red cherries are just blasting out of the bottle alongside rusted iron. Warm, but light acids surround a slightly tannic and medium dry body. Good finish. It’s an honest expression.

I just really loved this classic expression of Chianti. The right level of earthiness with notes of red fruit. Want more!

Against all odds, this Chianti Classico is superb with fennel sausage and mushrooms! Well-defined structure with bright acid and a schist core. Pure and fresh, sign of a well-made natural wine.

Another one of these. Classic take on Chianti. Beautifully balanced & lovely with dinner. Spicy red fruit & wonderfully textured.

Dark cherries with abundant power. Aromatics are similarly forward. Tannins add some structure and grip. More complexity lies in the texture than flavors, overall this is very good.

Florality of dark raspberry and flavors of tart cherry with a tad of wild strawberry. Balanced acidity and minerality.

Not to be confused with Rocca di Castagnoli. This is “cool-climate” Sangiovese if you will. Medium bodied with an amplification of secondary flavors like smoke and leather. Cheap enough that you’ll want to throw some in your wild boar ragu and drink the rest while you cook. Cin cin!
