It is quite unusual to find wines made with pure Petit Verdot, as in central Italy is just used for blends.
This was a wine fresh in the mouth, with soft tannins, and scents of black currants, but a little green. I loved it but I imagine it's not for everyone...

Depths of ripe plum, blackberry, sweet herbs and flowery undergrowth waft up as the 2018 Rosso Petit Verdot blossoms in the glass. It’s soft and fleshy in feel, releasing waves of ripe black fruits and spice, well balanced by juicy acidity. Violet florals, a mineral twang and nuances of salted licorice linger as this tapers off classically dry but fresh. There’s a lot of pleasure to be found in this fruit-forward yet harmonious effort. Aroma of fruits and flowers and herbs. Smooth and fruity on the palate with a taste of blueberry jam. I don’t know how to comment on acid but this feels like it has a nice amount of acid. Minimal tannins. Hits the spot after work.

Dark almost black dress. Solar nose, candied black fruits, plum, eucalyptus, pepper, juniper, smoke, leather. Average length and complexity - Correct for its price. 2017 is to drink now.

Medium bodied, well balanced tannins. Flavors of cherry and blackberry with a peppery finish. Good to drink on it’s own and also paired well with BBQ.
