Very dark ruby. Striking color actually. Nose is intense with zingy, just-crushed mixed berries, with nose-tingling acids. A bit of crushed stone. The palate is lively and full of dry berry extract and electric acids. Simple and quite vigorous!

Blend of 50% Castellão, 25% Aragonez, and 25% Touriga National.
Deeply pitched in color and fruit with inky purple robe. Nose is all of crushed fruits, pithy blackberry, medicinal blueberry and sweet/tart/astringent plum. Hearty texture has abundant acidity, medium plus body and medium plus tannin that could use some time in bottle to tame or a hearth dish to pair with it now.

Very impressed with this inexpensive red. Nose is lively and youthful, with bright, crunchy berries, a dark floral note, and intensely stony minerality. In the mouth, it’s soft-textured, got zesty acidity, and bright, juicy fruit. A bit of tannin frames it nicely. Well done. (I had opened a bottle a few weeks ago, but it was corked so I didn’t rate it.)

I’m just going to refer to @Tom Casagrande’s note on this wine from 11/23, I also love the zingy fruit and lovely acidity, I really love that WE’RE seeing more Portuguese dry wines these days in the U.S.!!

Normally I love Portuguese wines but this one is a bit on the higher side of acidity scale. Definitely better with a meal.
