Balanced, length , body. Nicely layered. Barnyard, chocolate, graphite, rubber tire. Medium bodied, good acid. Drops off just a bit but decent length. Very nice.

The 2016 Chianti Classico Riserva is wonderfully fleshy and expressive, and yet has plenty of structural underpinnings. Dark cherry, plum, spice, menthol, licorice and mocha open up with a bit of air. The balance of fruit depth allied to a mid-weight sense of structure is just compelling.
