Disappointing... Basically, this is an average Chianti Classico with a fancy label. In a previous review I was complementary on their Vino Nobile but this quite frankly is a rip off. It's a 90 point wine, but I'm ticked...

Riserva Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Sangiovese 2013

Enjoyed on August 18, 2019 as part of an impromptu mini birthday celebration. Paired well with ribeye and NY strip. Decanted for 30 minutes before drinking - believe it needed it. Medium body, nice balance, easy finish, black cherry notes. — 3 months ago

Riserva Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend 2015

Delectable Wine

The 2015 Chianti Classico Riserva is dark, plush and enveloping. Black cherry, chocolate, new leather, licorice, spice and lavender infuse this supple Riserva with lovely nuance and character. Silky tannins add to the wine's forward appeal. This is very nicely done in a forward style that is likely best suited to near and medium term drinking. St. Ercolano Vino Nobile di Montepulciano 2009

Pent up funk is released on open. Deep dark ruby in color, medium+ body. Gorgeous stewed red fruit aromas, with red bell pepper, potting soil, and a hint of mint. Most of this carries through on the palate, add a touch of spearmint and red licorice. This is one of the more complex Tuscan wines that I've had in a long time. Unfortunately, the finish doesn't complete the stellar review. The tannins are very pronounced, bone dry-- perhaps they would soften will even more bottle age? At 14% ABV there's not much more to burn off. I'm not trying to be a hard ass, but it's only the finish that prevents this from being a 96 point wine for me.

Dogajolo Toscano Sangiovese Blend 2016

Otro gran Toscano que acompañe con galletas y queso crema de champiñones, aunque iría muy bien con ese plato griego Musaka, que lleva berenjenas, carne molida y queso, sobre todo recalentado, una delicia, este vino joven bien equilibrado con más de tres variedades distintas: sangiovese, carbenet sauvignon y uvas nativas, color purpura intenso, notas a frutos negros, especies, pimienta negra, en boca redondo frutos negros y rojos especies vino suave bien logrado, saludos #winelovers #pisco #Peru
