Macchia dei Goti Taurasi Aglianico

Made from Aglianico grape from Taurasi region, medium Ruby with aromas of ripe red fruits, floral and pepper spice. On the palate flavors of blueberry and plum, herbs, licorice and black pepper notes. Full ripe tannins, lively acidity, long elegant finish ending with fruit and spice.

Corked? Totally off.. high acid no body tons of oak..

2001. Still kicking on day two. Scorched earth and menthol over cherry leather.

Great vineyard & year for Caggiano in Taurasi... Drinking perfect.. Allspice, black plum, granite.. So happy I saved it ad am drinking now.,

Tart, mineral, concentrated, so dramatic. Of all the mysteries enshrouding Aglianico to me the biggest is why more people don't drink it.

Dark berries on the nose with leather and goudron. good fresh fruit on the palate, velvety, long in taste. Very fine.
