Made from Aglianico grape from Taurasi region, medium Ruby with aromas of ripe red fruits, floral and pepper spice. On the palate flavors of blueberry and plum, herbs, licorice and black pepper notes. Full ripe tannins, lively acidity, long elegant finish ending with fruit and spice.

Tart, mineral, concentrated, so dramatic. Of all the mysteries enshrouding Aglianico to me the biggest is why more people don't drink it.

Dark berries on the nose with leather and goudron. good fresh fruit on the palate, velvety, long in taste. Very fine.

New-mown hay, blackberry brambles on the nose. Intensely fruit forward, but not sweet or cloying. Raspberries and blackberries. Light tannic structure, with mint and back pepper low notes, but it develops a pleasing minerality on its surprisingly long finish. I don’t know anything about this vintage, but it seems like it was grown on volcanic soils. The front reminds me of a Beaujolais Nouveau, but the finish is much more complex. A unique profile combination that I’ve never tasted before. Lovely.
