This Pinot Bianco shows brilliant yellow gold in the glass, a really gorgeous tint. One whiff gives you the lowdown on Italy's Alto Adige region - minerals aplenty. A plethora of minerals. More minerals than at which you can shake a stick. There is fruit on the nose, but that apricot aroma is there only because it was invited by the minerals. In the mouth, razor-sharp acidity tingles like a low-voltage current. Apricot pokes its head out the door again, but returns to the party in the company of the minerals.

Sep 24th, 2015One of the masterpieces created in this land, in Terlan, South Tyrol. This 2012 has only one defect: it's young! :-) Enjoy it within 10 years from now. Great wine.

Aug 7th, 2015Deep, full bodied yellow. A slightly green fruit, perhaps kiwi or just green grape juice. Rich in the mouth and long finish. Likely a winner for white burg fans.

May 29th, 2021If it were possible to infuse a peach or apricot with smoke & create a new version of an almost savory fruit, that would represent this wine. Wonderfully complex, but well accented with tangy acid.
