Wow, the nose here is amazingly expressive with classic red Cab fruits - Cab fruits in a Chianti? Crazy, I know...

Medium in body, red raspberry, rose hips, oregano, light tannins that integrate so well with the acidity. This is aged to perfection. Drink now and be wowed.

Initially this gave off a blast of vanilla oaky scents. With air, the wood calmed down some. It’s still a modern “international style” Chianti, which is not my cup of tea. Nose has ripe cherry and vanilla wood tones, and a bit of cooling minerality in the distant background. In the mouth it has a lot of twiggy, dry leafy flavors that remind me of inexpensive cru bourgeois Bordeaux. The more air it gets, the more the tannins on the finish seem to dry out. Decent.

An excellent example of Chianti Classico full of juicy cherry, plum, cedar & roasted tomato after a brief 30 min decant. All supported by a robust acidity & a touch of rustic tannins. A delicious wine & stellar pairing with homemade Chicken Parmesan! [3/16/24] ($18)

Crazy value. Not sure typical cost, but for what I paid, it's my QPR of the year. Like a baby Brunello.

Does not really have the classic notes of sangiovese. Ok though. Who gave this 92 points???!

NYT great reasonable $$$ wine that we’ve had over last year. I love it. Awesome so Karin bought more for our closet.
