La Meirana Gavi di Gavi Cortese

baked pears, slate undertones, white flowers just past prime. medium weight. builds to a rich end, baking spices on finish- not the oaky type. Very perfumey on the palate upon opening. Not so much on day 2. really unique and delicious.

Nice and bright on the palate, later taste has a gewürztraminer feel, a bit grape-y and a touch of sweet.

Bright nose and crisp palate. This Italian does well and finishes strong with long and mineral filled flavor.

Great sparkling! Crisp, citrus, unripe stone fruit with a good mineral finish.

Great wine, flowers and citrus on the nose. Sweet entry with peach, pear, firm acid and some nice mineral finish

Gavi grape. Floral and crisp. Beautiful acidity. A touch of sweetness and spice which David says is phenological ripeness

Ok it is Friday and It is time for something totally different. Gavi! Who would have thunk it? Nice pale yellow. Strong banana, melon and minerality on the nose. The palate is telling me a good citrus with white flowers and melon. There is the minerality with banana and a nice acidity. Surprisingly a nice wine. Nostrovia!
