Gorgeous, perfume, coffee and anise aromas. Intense blackberry, black cherry, and black tea flavors, great structure. This wine will be even better in a decade.

Very dark fruited but with loads of acidity. The nose is badass.

A monster. Tar, herbs, intense briary fruit. Kind of a mind fuck. #sailormouth #sorrynotsorry

Serious stuff. Big, rich, tannic, fruit bomb. A crowd pleaser for sure. People couldn't keep their hands off this #wine

I admit to drinking a lot of this producer. I have all vintages from 2010 but not before. It’s a great OR pinot. I strongly suggest buying some directly from the winery. BUT, a number of the 2012 corks I’ve pulled have been soaked almost all the way thru. I’ve told the winery. I have not seen it from other vintages.

Arrested development. Something was a-rye here with this 1.5 L. Sadly never opened up. Most be an exception

2012. A bit more oak than I recalled from the last bottle. More fruit than funk. But still a favorite from OR.

2012 Willamette Valley beauty. No typical OR funk, rather sweet fruit with a few angles that suggest life left. I like this OR producer a lot.

2012. What a beauty. Nose of raspberry, cherry, slight vanilla, some cinnamon. Soft and elegant. Hints here and there. On the palate -- soft but complex. No funk or bite, just fruit and some residual heat. Length. really like this 2012 PN from Oregon.

Pretty disappointed with this 2012. Very tight and underripe. Surprisingly dark color, black pepper, and high alcohol- during the first hour of tasting I would have thought this was a Rhone. Eventually opens a little, revealing more classic Willamette pinot notes of tobacco, tart red fruits, oak, but overall was too heavy, dark, and heavy handed for me, especially considering the vintage (and price).
