A gift from a well meaning friend so why not do a tasting note. Nose is jammy like zinfandel. Not offensively overripe but also not shy. Not awful. Palate is grotesquely sweet and so hot. Ugh.

Tastes like tfw you forget someone's name and are wondering how you're going to search their last email but then randomly scroll to the general timeframe of when you think you last communicated and find their name immediately. Then you're so excited you pour yourself a celebratory glass of bread and butter cab.

Young Cali Cab Sav. Nose at open, Maraschino cherries with layer or cigar box cedar sting. First taste BIG red berry front, followed by sage next car on the flavour train, white pepper, oak barrel char followed up by a caboose of eucalyptus burn.
The wine needs 40 minutes of breathing @ temp of 18C. After this it lengthens and balances better. The front remains very juicy with Raspberry cough drop sweetness, flowing into green pepper corns, Cohiba cigar smoke and medium length finish. Cheers🍷

Interesting cab here... Spicy upfront, leathery and earthy on the finish. Enjoyed with steak and shrimp hibachi - special derivery.

This cab is like the first time you ever heard Black Dog by Led Zeppelin.

Another blind taste... was somewhat accurate. Still... the 2011 Cannonball prior to this threw me off.

I hope this isn’t the company’s bread and butter though...

Yeah, I mean, it goes together but it’s not the greatest bread or the greatest butter... it’s just good.

Nice jammy cab. For me, raspberry is the predominant flavor. Would go with just about anything.

Majestic. I really enjoy the 2021. Smooth, not too sweet, hints of vanilla and oak. Very enjoyable and easy to drink.
