Some very spicy oak still showing it’s youth, with nice savoury undertones. The palate still tightly wound, giving the impression of being slightly ‘thin’. Perhaps worth decanting next time.

Bouchard jumped higher than ever with this vintage. Absolutely outstanding bottle! Perfect balance, amazing punchy fruit with fantastic eathy tones. You feel like you are in a deep blooming forest on a sunny summer night. 10/10. Buying a case.

On the nose this is very ripe but with plenty of Mediterranean spice. Clean flush and suave in the mouth, rich.

Perhaps the most amazing aspect of this wine was its deep, rich color more indicative of a current vintage. The fruit and aromatics were bright and plentiful as well. A delightful surprise !

Tasting amazing especially with duck. Dried flowers, roses particularly, cherry, plum, barnyard, a bit of herbs and the tiniest hint of baking spice.

Bouchard pere et fils
Teuron Beaune 1er Cru 2009
