Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru Chardonnay

A little gun smoke and matchstick. Heightened lemon them an oily intense midpalate. Good carry through to the end. Open

Seemed more evolved than the 08. Less focused and lifted for me. Hazelnut, brioche and golden apple. Had a yeasty quality that didn't resonate with me and I think I enjoyed this vintage less than most who identified it as their favorite of the flight....but it was still wonderful.

This '09 from mag was one of the top 3 Chardonnays I've ever had the pleasure of drinking.

Fine for the vintage ... but dense and heavy

From Magnum. Also gorgeous. A bit more linear than the 2012 Henri Boillot Meursault 1er Genevrieres.

Good stuff. Not as obvious and needed more time to unfurl than the raveneau Chablis but ended up being really nice.
