This is a wonderful Cabernet Sauvignon blend from Napa Valley.
Dark ruby in color with a short reddish rim. Not showing age at all.
Full bodied with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, cedar, vanilla, spices, espresso, cola, tobacco leaf, earth, dark chocolates, peppercorn and herbs.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This second label from Bond, is drinking wonderfully now, and will continue to age nicely in the next 15 years.
I had it blind and called it, including the vintage. Love it when that happens.
This 21 year old is good right out of the bottle, and better after 3 hours of airtime.

Intensely rich and heavy and even a bit flabby. Alcohol from the very hot vintage also very prevalent and doesn’t blow off with air. Despite being made by the illustrious Bond Estate, not my cup of tea.

Much better than expected. Raspberry, tobacco, a bit of currant and some sweetness. Perfect with beef fajitas.

Deep purplish ruby red in appearance. Rich and dark nose with mulberries, black fruits, sweet spices and a bit of ground spices too. Medium plus tannins (7.5/10) and full bodied. Dark palate and approachable from the start with touches of spices, some earthiness and dark berries. Drink till 2038. (93+)

To say this wine was fantastic is an understatement. Elegant, velvety body with hints of cedar, cinnamon spice. Glad I didn't wait too much longer to open this as the cork was drying out and snapped halfway in the neck. Extracting that cork was like defusing a bomb on Mission Impossible but with much patience we got it out without damaging anything. Phewww!! 😅
