Classic Boll sweetie — 6 months ago
Sulphur. Pale straw. Little fruit except tart lime/lemon zest. Steely minerality. Petrol/kerosine. Bond dry. Explosive / extremely prickly salty acidity. Very salty and saline and energetic on the palate. Tannic and powerful. — 3 years ago
Was fortunate enough to meet winemaker at Mustards Grill a month ago and she let me try this wine - same vintage I think. And now this has become one of my favorite wines under $60. If you can find it, buy it. Serve it to your friends who expect you to serve them Realm, Patria or Bond, etc. — 6 years ago
First Bond film... fancy wine winning from CHOP auction. Tasty and tart! — 7 years ago
1 hour decan(decent chunky/fine sediment). A striking still dark garnet color. On the nose: Captivating notes of dark fruit, stewed meat, mushroom, eucalyptus, roasted coffee bean. Taste: silky, opulent, structured wine with dark cherry, tobacco, charred earth, currants, herbs, pepper, and a coffee-pencil lead long finish with just a touch of heat from the alcohol. YUM!! — 3 months ago

We are now in Matera... A special year for a special city. Besides being the European capital of culture 2019, it's the site of the opening scene of the new Bond movie. D.Craig picked the same spot for his accommodations. Anyways, I was ready for Aglianico....
With artisan pizzas all around, this 2010 paired wonderfully.
A big wine at 14.5 ABV, color is only starting to turn the rim, otherwise a deep dark ruby.
Earthy, black licorice, dusty, black olives on the nose, continuing to the palate. Tannins at are very firm and grippy. This thing could be cellared for several more years. I loved this wine.

It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix.
Deep Inky in color with a very short reddish rim.
Strong nose of blackberries, black currants, black plums, tobacco, cedar, vanilla, licorice, chocolates, spices and peppercorn.
Full bodied with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and very fruity on the palate with black currants, plums, tobacco, blackberries, chocolates, herbs, spices, earth, light vanilla, cedar, licorice, light cola and peppercorn.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and cherries.
This is a delicious, yet still young, Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Already drinking beautifully, but feels very young and needs 10 to 20 years in the bottle to mature property.
This 10 year old Single Vineyard Cabernet is nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Elegant and fruit forward.
Needed 4 hours in the decanter to open up properly.

A good quality wine. Complex, powerful and interesting. Always nice to drink these kind of iconic wines. Delicious stuff.
A wonderful sipping wine that also paired nicely with my steak.
14.8% alcohol by volume.

Not shutdown/closed, just not revealing a whole lot. I was impressed by its body and persistent finish. Unfortunate with the timing. — 8 months ago
Happy Christmas Eve!!
Came in a really cool James Bond box with an awesome lifting mechanism!
Great start to the holiday season! Medium gold color. Classic Bollinger nose. Wine is very complex with brioche, nuts, apples, peanut butter, and lots of caramel. Dessert in a glass! I don’t think this has much aging potential so drink up! — 5 years ago
Great rye spice. Best at this price point, and probably the next one. — 6 years ago
