This wine is a great example of the grapes coming from the incredible Beckstoffer vineyards. #greatwine #beckstoffer, #boichfamilycellar #wine #sommelier #vino #napa #napacabernet #cabernetsauvignon

Velvety texture on the palate with dark fruits, dark cocoa, vanilla and caramel. Long finish. Delicious to see how these will develop over a couple years. Drink till 2028.

Feb 6th, 2017Classic Rutherford cab from John Boich. His first commercial release is elegant yet concentrated, with rich black fruit, cocoa powder, pencil shavings, and that Rutherford dust. Excellent. This will be one to watch as it gains secondary character with age. Winemaker is Jeff Ames.

Jun 24th, 2015Not bad for a warm vintage. Took some time to open up (about 2 hours). When it did cassis, blackberry jam, sage, with some dusty tannins in the finish.
