Medium bodied, classic style (earthy and fruity notes are balanced). Tobacco/cigar box, red plum, and white pepper dominate. Yum!

Sipping Fine Wine

A 100% Tempranillo, dark red with purple edges and aromas of dark berries and sweet spice. On the palate black cherry and raspberry flavors, vanilla spice with tobacco and smoky oak notes. Fine tannins with a good mouthfeel and balanced acidity carry this wine to a lingering finish ending with earthy minerality.

Lots of floral notes and blueberries on the nose. Very nice velvety Rioja!

Dense and rich, the perfect amount of spice and all of that Tempranillo character we all know and love. Went fabulously with grilled burgers and baked beans.

Like an Aussie Shiraz, but double the price, although not all Shiraz would be this fresh after 11 years. Doesn’t remind me of the better loved 2001s I bought a case of.

Go find some of this!
Modern voluptuous styled Rioja - taste more like a classified growth Left Bank Bordeaux (Pauillac) with that decadent red/blue/black melange of perfectly ripe fruit with minerality, soil, spice, smoke and graphite. Sexy vanilla oak notes, drinks smooth & true - fascinating complexity and PLENTY of time left on this 2010.

A Rioja more in the modern style, but doesn't over do it. Sleek and rile on the palate. Worth the try.

Drank 1/19/18. Walk around tasting. Tasting pour.

Classic Rioja nose of black cherry, cassis, and American oak. Palate with cassis, black cherry, and earth. Long finish.
