Big and juicy. Robert Parker wine. Not my style.

Rich, ripe, almost port-like nose. A bit of spice and vanilla from barrel aging. Very full bodied, loads of mouthfilling, savory flavors. Some nice clingy minerality in the long finish. Lots of oomph.

This was impressive. As you may have guessed, the tannins take no prisoners. Leave this for a year or two, but it already has the components of a good, solid wine. I think this is mostly Tempranillo, with a dollop of other stuff.

Solid wine, but nothing special

Over the Top & Balls to the Wall come to mind - super tight behemoth, tannins gripping w/sky hi ABV - chewy beyond belief. Really don’t know what’s going on with this wine as I’ve had numerous vintages and this one just seems to be way outside their wheelhouse... the problem was it needed several hours to open but fruit & other primary aromas dissipated

Delish full red from Spain. Easy to drink. Bitter taste
