2010 Tilenus Mencia - 8 months in oak. Dark black purple. Aromas of blackberry. On the palate bracing, dry and slightly bitter. Maybe this is trying too hard. - bit over extracted and missing fruit intensity.

Very nice Mencia from Bierzo, soft vegetables aromas, explosive red fruit, good balance! Worth to try it!

H- wine from our new friend in the hostel, served warm however it was not offensive, M- no notes, but was good, she also loves tea?? G- warm, but fun with new friends, slight pucker. Score could be higher if served cold

Nice light red for summer drinking. Just a little bit of tannins with strong cherry aroma. Nothing too complex with the taste tho. Purchased at cool vines in Princeton.

Tilenus Mencia '10 Earthy purple haze & dark oak toast aromas. Acidity, edge of bracing. Lots of skin & seed bitters build backbone through 14.5% ABV body. Big, slightly teetering.
