If you bought any 2007 Spanish wine you made a poor decision. I have a case of 2010 and opened one bottle out of impatience. Chilled decanted and one hour to breath. In 3 more years this will be amazing. It's pretty good already. So today it's a an easy 8.5 and in 3 more years I can see it being a 9.5. Dry smooth. Butter nuts berries orange pepper and earthy on the memorable though still tannic finish.

Single varietal Graciano from Rioja. Smokey dark fruit/cherry aromas and flavors with notes of baking spices and vanilla. A bit of toasted chocolate flavor on the slightly sour finish. Not to the high standard of the stellar 2010 Vintage, but a reasonable wine.

Not your typical Rioja. 100% Graciano, a varietal that is normally used as a blending grape. Zesty and tight, but in a good way. (Well structured). Cherry, plum and red flowers on the nose. Same fruits on the pallet with a pleasant toasted oaky finish. Deep red color. Well crafted and interesting. Going to continue to look for this single varietal.

A core of ripe fruit that is a tad to ripe for me, but firm tannin helps to balance it out. Enjoyed better on day 2. Can see why graciano is used for blending because of it colour and tannin.

Excellent. Dark and deep, red berries, acidic.

12/25/20. Finally had with Christmas dinner prime rib prime. After 5.5 year of waiting we were a little disappointed. Had great smell but not a good carry or after taste. Did not come out as Dave expected. $26.99 5/28/15 Spain Rioja class at total wine. David really likes. Either now or hold for 15 years. Cherry. 100% one type

Dry, lean, dried fruits and high acid, the finish is short. Unless you really appreciate a dried berry, taunt tannins, and taste of hot dry earth, you may want to skip this one. #wine #Spain #underwhelming
