Oak dominates for the first few hours. Ripe black fruit eventually emerges, with a muscular, mineral driven finish.

Took a hot minute for the fruit to integrate correctly with the oak - prune juice, pom pithe, salted blackberry.
the oak is long, and chewy.
Interesting Ribera, though it is getting a little aged for the quality.

Mar 17th, 2018Opaque burgundy with blue/purple hue, notes of dark fruits, anise and tobacco, quite tannic still, tastes of mushroom, black tea and licorice, medium to long finish.

Mar 15th, 2015Great stuff! Not every awesome Spanish red is Rioja - this holds its own with a great bouquet and easy, supple finish.
