My first Cabernet Sauvignon from the Penedes, for under $10, this absolutely provides fantastic QPR. Opaque burgundy color, very ripe nose of stewed plum, blackberry, blueberry, raspberry and incense, medium to full body, balanced acidity with firm powdery tannin, fruits forwards with tastes of black plum, raspberry compote, blueberry jam, cacao, cassis syrup and finishes with a black licorice note, fruity but under check, extra point for the value, beats most CA Cabernet Sauvignon around $20-25 range. — 7 years ago
