Ahhh...Hello Pinot my old friend;
Scents of cherry to my nose you send;
Thoughts of Malbec are receding;
I’m getting that old feeling,
That wine from the old world is my thing,
No kidding.
Sipping my glass of Pinot.

It's almost zesty...orange zest, bright florals, and pomegranate.

This is a serious Pinot from Argentina that I am digging in a big way. Well-balanced with juicy raspberries and a solid mineral backbone. Vaguely herbal notes on the nose, too.

Liquid heaven from Patagonia at a very fare price. A seriuos statement of what Patagonia Pinot Noir should deliver. Bodega Chacra always a good investment.

Very dark purple, this wine has a muted nose defined by earth, although not to the extent of other Patagonian Pinots I've tried. The minerals lead the raspberry aromas around on a leash. There is an herbal scent as well, but the profile is all about the dirt. On the palate, the fruit gets to show off a little more. Raspberry and black cherry are most noticeable, with the minerals making a play of their own here, too. The tannic structure and acidity are both vigorous, and the finish is lengthy.
