Velvety rich, menthol, confected blue and black fruit, with mossy tertiary aromas creeping up. Not sure how it can get better.

Heady. Lusty. Posh wine with a few seductively abrasive nips. So many black currant jam tarts garnished with greens and someone was eating it while writing thrash poetry with a number two pencil nearby. Got it?

Big, with a dry abrasive finish. Cedar, blackberry, white and green raspberry. Hot and brine on the nose.

Concentrated and full of depth. On its peak. Drink now. From 375mL bottle.

Vinous notes nail this. Nothing further to add.

Truffle galore ! 2007 vintage. Delicious

New world merlot wrapped up tight in a Right Bank corset. What a stunning wine! Either needs a few more years in the bottle, or at least two hours in a decanter. Either way...elegant fruit, dusty dark chocolate, a breath of licorice and herbs, and a warm woody finish.
