2020 vintage. Like La Tour Carnet another disappointment from Bernard Magrez in this great vintage. Nowhere near the quality of the excellent 2018. A jammy new-world-style crowdpleaser. Very disappointing. Abv. 15%.

I get that petrol element here, which I like. It’s pretty tight even after some time open. But it still seems watery. 2014. I was hoping for more. Backbone of preemtry red fruit but not fleshed out.

Drank 4/27/21. Paired with burgers, but this calls for a steak.

Nose of raspberry coulis, plums, and an earth/almost petrol note, that remains even after a couple of hours (I'm ok with this). Black cherry, blackberry, plums, earthand tar, mingle with medium plus tannins on the palate. Finishes dark, with blackberry and tar which go on for around 50 seconds

4/21/8/4/4 +50 =91 pts.

Drink now for primary fruit, but should hold for another 10-15 years.

Mature purple fruited, merlot has take a back seat. Very lush BDX.

Blend of mostly Merlot & splash of Cab Franc, deep Ruby with aromas of red berry fruits and notes of cedar spice. On the palate black cherry and red plums with cacao, tobacco and woodsy spice. Lively acidity, firm tannins, nice balance, long finish ending with fruit, oak and earthy herb spice. Nice now.

Massively rich and beautifully endowed bottle. It has been showing great since the day it was released and today was no different. Loads of fruit. Soft velvety tannins and a long finish

Really excellent - smells a bit like Napa, ripe plum and currant with some new oak spice, but the palate takes it back to BDX, dry and earthy. The 8 years of age have made this really sing, with acid and tannins beautifully integrated. Great with a grilled hanger steak.

Nice wine. Beautiful for the price. Several years of age worthy now and for the next 5 years.
