Bergström Wines
Shea Vineyard Pinot Noir
Another stunner from the cellar! Astonishing for the age as it’s kept a fruit forward Shea Vineyard personality. Medium bodied. Flavors bursting out of the bottle: explosive cherry, sandalwood, incense and wood bark. Some grippy tannin. Has settled nicely with still a touch of Shea sappiness. Shea has such a California personality

Oct 11th, 2018Family-owned and operated artisan producer of wine, began in 1999 by John and Karen Bergstrom. Very deep red for an OR Pinot. Nice bouquet of berry fruit and floral notes. On the palate strawberry and raspberry flavors with cinnamon & earthy black tea tones. Fine rich tannins, lingering finish bring around fruit and mineral tones.

Sep 1st, 2018Always the first release of the year for Bergström. Yamhill-Carlton is not my favorite sub-ava. I’m a Dundee Hills and Eola-Hills kinda guy. Just how it is...this wine is a stunner. After how much hype Oregon has seen for our 14’s and 15’s, it’s hard to tell people “wait till you see the 16’s” but it’s true. 2016 has all the fruit of 15 with the acid to finish. Incredible vintage, tasting through the auction lots last weekend has me really excited on how these wines will age.

Jul 21st, 20172014 vintage. I like how bergstrom says fuck it and releases early. Been bottled for a month. Serious juice. Buy it now and then make fun of everyone you know when it gets 97 points and it's sold out.
