Oeil de Perdrix Sonoma County Blanc de Noir Rosé

Belle Glos is known for Pinot in its distinctive wax dipped bottles. This is a new line of rosé with fruit sourced from Sonoma. I didn’t care for it, seems more like a marketing thing for pink themed events lol.

French for "eye of the partridge" is a wine lightly pressed Pinot Noir whole clusters, then a short stint with French oak barrels. Berry fruit with floral aromas. On the palate flavors of strawberries and cherries, some citrus and a lively acidic. Medium finish with a mineral character.

Tastes like strawberries... on a summer evening.

Watermelon sugar!

I’m confused.. Blanc de noir, but a Rose? Anyway, strawberry and watermelon rind on the nose and cherry cough drop on the palate. The acid is a bit over the top(acidulated?) A bit too manipulated for my taste, and for the price, $26+.

Gardening beverage

Strawberries, cherry, watermelon, crisp apples, mint, and a couph drop taste as previously mentioned. One hour decant, lush mouthful. Minerals on the finish.

Extra point for the breast cancer donation, delicious crisp rose of Pinot. Nice acids and well balanced.

Nice rose, good flavor in a pretty bottle. Paired well with grilled octopus

Delicious with salmon.
