Wow. Did not taste like pinot to me at all. Sweet to the point of almost being off dry. Finish that lingers way, way past when you wish it was gone. Just not what I want really ever, but definitely not when I want pinot noir.

Maybe I'm just a Burgundy/Oregon Pinot snob. Fruity, sweet, one dimensional. Juicy enough to drink without thinking about it, but pretty nondescript.

I purchased this 2014 Meiomi Pinot Noir In Fayetteville, AR and tonight I have opened it to enjoy a nice California Pinot. The Meiomi brand has always been a very enjoyable Pinot to go to when wanting a a classic.

On the nose there is nice fruit showing cranberry, blackberry, cherry, clove, cola, wet leaves and a dusty loam.

The palate has sour cherry, blackberry, cranberry, vanilla, mocha, and toasty oak.

This has a smooth mouth feel with medium + acidity, medium low tannins and a medium long finish.

This Pinot has the classic Meiomi style and finesse. A nice wine to be enjoyed by everybody.

Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷

Plums is the first impression following with rich, ripe red berries, such as raspberry, strawberry, dried cranberry, with some baking spice mostly cinnamon, nutmeg, tiny touch of earthyness. Med to med plus body, med tannin. Paired with pumpkin sesame toast( from Paris baguette) with manchego cheese.

It was a little late in the night before I got my hand on this Meiomi so notes are illusive. The owner of the Round Top Inn (and Prost) knows how to throw a well attended party. Congrats RTI on the feature in PaperCity Magazine!

Can't believe I would say this, the 2014 is even better than all previous Meiomi! Great mouthfeel, gorgeous fruit component , gets better in glass with air. This may be the end with the sale of this brand. This vintage made by Caymus Family. Congrats! CB 94

Fluorescent red color. Dark fruit, a bit of earth. Lots of R/S. Finish cuts off short.

Nice blend of Pinot from 3 CA regions bring plenty of fruit with a very nice balance of acidity.
