Just hitting this after about a three and a half hour decant. Color is very deep ruby, nice. Nose is quite alive with red fruits, and smokey. Tannins still present on palate, dried cherries. I think this needs more time to get going...

Night two, nose has mellowed. Palate is mostly the same, but any tannins are gone, smoother finish tonight. Next bottle should be post 2020.

A simply amazing Brunello, dark ripe cherry, plum, vanilla and a hint of black licorice. Solid tannins and very structured adding to an incredibly long and smooth finish. Amazing at 15 can only imagine how much better in 10+ years
