A unique style of CC with minerality leading throughout. There’s pure, intense cherry fruit on the nose, but it takes a back seat to the quarry activity. Same thing goes for the palate. Very intense minerality. Structurally there is quite a bit of soft, chalky tannin and decent acids. The finish ends minerally and with a slight bitter note. Very good, but not the most elegant rendition. Maybe give it a year or two more to come together.

Seems more untamed than in previous years. From the earthy/tree bark part of the Sangiovese flavor spectrum. But with a nicely balanced long bitter cherry finish.

Best chianti I've had in a while, great price. Allowed it to open up for an hour before drinking.
