Dark and deep. Tobacco, tar, hoisin and black cherries. Can’t imagine drinking this any younger. It’s showing some nice tertiary aromas. Tannins are fully resolved and now just a beautiful wine.

1985 vintage La Serra. First vintage under the Roberto Voerzio label, before Roberto started to make the highest possible quality. Amazing though. Very deep colour for nebbiolo. Intense and profound, at its peak, but there's no hurry to drink this.
