Chianti Colli Senesi Sangiovese

Great value. Basically a baby Brunello

Lovely red cherries, crunchy tannins and lively acidity. A great everyday drinking experience.

Light to medium bodied. Clean finish. Lovely brownish red color. Red fruit and earth.

Great flavor.
Grapes grown in Tuscany. The ones that are not grown above a certain altitude cannot be called a type of grape, so the resulting wine is cheaper. Doesn't taste like it.

Tight upon opening--better on day 2.

Sour cherry, heady potpourri and hints of leather and earth. Refreshing acidity. Looks surprisingly light in the glass.

Bought this since I enjoyed the 2012 this earthy 13 was a disappointment.

When i first reviewed this wine i was unimpressed. However This stuff is beautiful now. Smooth tannins. Cherry notes. Forrest floor? May be this is great because of the dessert climate around me - Anza Borrego.

Tense, even astringent in a good way. Dried fruit, flowers, bloody.

Pure, classic Sangiovese aromatics. Smooth mouthfeel with killer acidity. Easy drinking! Another great effort from Ragnaie!
