Grapes from small Paso Robles AVAs blocks, aged in 75% new oak for 18 mos. Dark Ruby, aromas of sweet ripe black fruits, smoky tobacco and pepper spices. On the palate flavors of black cherry and blackberry with herb, cacao, espresso and vanilla oak, after it opened up. Fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit, cacao, vanilla and earthy herbs. Good but let this age for a couple of years.

Delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from Paso Robles. Would love to see how this progresses with age.

Deep ruby red. Lots of caramel, anise, baking spices and dark cherries on the nose. Medium tannins (6/10) and medium to medium plus bodied. Well integrated with alcohol you can feel but not over the top. Rich palate with notes of cinnamon, brown sugar, dark berries, and cherries. Long finish. Drink till 2026.

1978 Chuck Hope left his beverage job, moved to Paso Robles, became a farmer, & top grape grower. Working with his father, Austin led family into winemaking in ‘95, creating his label in 2000. Grapes from 5 small blocks in AVAs of Paso Robles, aged in 75% new French oak, 18 mos. Dark Ruby, aromas of sweet ripe black fruits & dried smoky spices. Flavors of ripe blackberry, sweet cacao, espresso & vanilla oak. Big wine, fine tannins that needed 45 minutes, lingering fruit finish. The 15% ABV, not an issue. Nice!

A very delicious, smooth, fruity wine. Paired great with steak and a good friend! Though a little pricey for me I would buy this again.

I love Paso Robles wines that are accessible early as is this Cab! Presents with dark berries, cassis, dark chocolate, espresso, mild tar, black licorice, wet soil and violets. Style is extracted, oak a bit heavy (which I expected) overall a nice Cab..scored a decent price!

Despite the geeky and overtly technical wine enthusiast’s opinions. This wine is enjoyable and a good PNP. I say hip hip hooray...☺️☺️👍🏽👍🏽🍷🍷
