Barolo Nebbiolo

Leather. Dried fruit. Tad dilute. Grippy.

I mean, I sit with this wine for the 10th sip and still I think, it is too matured, too old, it has no structure anymore.
I bought the same vintage twice, I didn't wanna believe.
No apparent defects, but the color is pale, try to smell anything on the nose and you'll come short and the mouthfeel? Well...any Sangiovese beats it.
I am sure, it is just bad luck, but I can only suggest to stay away from the 2009 vintage

Lovely, vibrant, long, complex, and austere. Have always loved this (sadly underrated) producer.

Light and flat, respectively speaking with the 2006 and 2004 vintages. But still very good.

Much smoother after 5+ hours

Opened this last night. Wine is very good. Vino Volo buy at DTW. Has a nice raspberry thing going on that lingers for a while. Earthy, leather. Enjoyable.

The final wine of the tasting is the ‘11 Barolo, showing decent maturity 10 years in. #piedmont #nebbiolo #barolo
