2014 drunk in 2024. I kept a bottle of this $14(!!) wine—2015 price—for 8 years on a hunch that it would hold up, and it did. I don’t know what it costs now, but back then it was head and shoulders the best American supermarket wine.

Murky florals. Condensed fruits. Intense herb. Savory pepper. Underlying pyrazine. Primary, unstable structure. Well worth the $19 admission.

I love full bodied, rich, savory reds. This pinot gives me that, but instead is light and fresh at the same time. Delicious.

Transparent ruby red, slightly orange at the rim. Ripe red fruit(cherries, strawberries)in the nose. Round and ripe taste with lovely cherry fruit, velvety tannin, impeccable balance and good length. Great value too. 2014 vintage.Abv 13,5 %. 26 euro.

Thoroughly enjoyable entry level PN. Sappy fruit with an herbal earthy component in the nose. Good concentration, nice balance. Already showing nice aromatics, soft texture, and passable acid balance. Not to age but to drink over the next year. Ordered it with dinner at The Village Idiot in Lexington, KY. Took the rest of the bottle back to the hotel room. These are day 2 notes.

Lovely fragrant perfume. Light/medium weight palate with some sap and forest floor. A little simple but drinks to its price point.

2014, Enjoyed it even more than the last vintage. The nose leaves little to be desired, with dried cranberry, a yellow bell pepper-like vegetal note, mushroom, and ripe cherry. The palate features more cranberry, underripe strawberry, herbs de Provence, and a silky finish. Flowing. No rough edges, drinks really well young. Always a good bottle from Mr. Clendenon.
