Featherweight, but focused classic core. Always love this wine.

Candied cherries and dirt. Lively and refreshing but there is a lot of depth. This wine is in a great spot. No need to wait, drink and enjoy.

Fairly aggressive tannins still (07), needs more time, very fresh, touch of Brett

Yeah buddy. Dialed up the funk huge on the nose. Barnyard and Brett. Palate is pummeling with sandpaper tannin and tight, focused smoke. Body is big and hot but somehow refined.

Heaven in a glass. All the funk and more funk. Absolutely killer. So food friendly.

Alto Piedmont, but toeing the line with Cru bojo rather than Nebbiolo. Cool year and is quite evident; herbaceous, dried roses, orange rind, damp leather, autumn leaves and dried red fruit. Sinewy tannins and vibrant acidity, still feels like there's years ahead.

Beautiful rich texture with sappy cherry, leathery notes and dried rose. Stunning fruit even after 17 years. Great primary fruit which is bulstered by perfumed aromas. Tannins are completely resolved and the acid is still providing beautiful lift. 1998 vintage

Alto Piemonte is such a reliable source of great value, ageworthy yet accessible Nebbiolo. This one hit all the dusty cherry, earth and rose petal notes and was a perfect match with duck legs
