Full and mouthfilling, with nice purity of ripe, macerated cherry fruit. Nice acids and youthful but soft tannins. Great now with a tagliatelle in a rich meat sauce, but will improve for up to 5 more years.

Spanna is like Stefan Urkel. All friendly without the young austere edges that dominate further south. Maybe less complex, but fun for sure. @Delectable notes on the money.

Similar to my review below, but showing some earthy “band-aid” and a tinginess on the tongue, almost like carbonization. Really good. Gotta get a bottle for my brother Tom Casagrande, who uses to drink this in the early 80s.
