Santa Margarita Ranch Merlot

Deep Ruby with aromas of oak, dried herbs and dark fruits on the nose, a blend of mostly Cab Sauv. On the palate this full-bodied wine shows flavors of blackberry, plum, spice, tomato leaf, black olive and smoke, firm tannins on a short finish ending with herbal earthy character. Drink now, no aging benefit.

4/3/20. An excellent cab. Great with steak. Rich and layered. Perfect tannins.

If I tasted this blind I could have sworn it was a Bordeaux. This #pasorobles #merlot is special - laid back fruit, pronounced acidity, earthy spice with some coffee, pepper and a faint bit of licorice. Nice wine if you’re like me and really prefer the Old World style.

Structure and dry

Tasty. Vey good.

Medium bodied and medium tannins. Flavors of plum, tart cherry, mocha and cinnamon. Not an over-powering Merlot.

A surprisingly good blend! It's got a certain something that balances out the bold and sugary initial flavor to create a fantastic, dry finish.

Good. Full bodied.

Fruity, plum and black berries with some warm spice on finish.
