If Gruner Veltliners were Pro Wrestlers, this would be Andre the Giant. Bodyslamming all the other Gruners in the ring, in a blur of white cherry, white pepper and passionfruit. It is big, heaving, and bold... but quite graceful around the corners.

2006 vintage. Served blind; this wine comes from a vintage that never appealed to me, due its richness, botrytis spice and lowish acidity. This one does suffer from the above, but still proved me wrong, generally speaking.
