Top Notes For
Vintage 2019 | the last year in which Alfred and Rolf Merkelbach made the wine themselves, their 68th year, unbelievable! Closed smell. Good balance. Some impressions of mango and peach. Will age to a beauty.

Feb 14th, 2022Honeyed apricot bursting out of the bottle on the nose and following through the palate. Fits perfectly with some spicy tomato sauce & lamb sausage over polenta. Rich for sure, but extremely well balanced with a firm acid backbone. Generous and inviting right now .
