What a beautiful, elegant wine. It’s almost 10 years old and is drinking perfectly right now and still seems young. Paled garnet in color, looks to be light bodied, which proves to be true. Aromas of balsamic and ripened strawberry dominate. Tons of structure, but also easy to sip. Some red currant and more strawberry. Perfectly paired with our meal tonight of spaghetti and meatballs in a creamy tomato sauce.

Not exactly long or energetic but nicely proportioned and svelte. Pulls you in slowly.

Light garnet, pale copper at the rim; medium intensity aromas of strawberries, red currant, red cherry, black tea, wet earth; dry, medium acid, medium tannins, medium alcohol, medium minus body, medium intensity flavors of strawberries, red currant, wet leaves and subtle mineral as it opens up, long finish; very good

Something about Nebbiolo from the Valtellina that I can't get enough of.
