Declassified ‘05. Beautifully balanced wine. Red berries abound + campfire, clay pot, rose perfume, and tar. 🌹🔥

I tried this wine alongside a bunch of very good Barolos. A tough crowd from which to differentiate one. But this wine managed to do so by virtue of its extraordinary freshness: like sniffing a jar of Italian herbs that have had a bunch of cherries thrown in for good measure. A very unusual Nebbiolo but a fascinating one for sure. I'm eager to try other vintages of this singular wine.

Fruit forward and quaffable. Short rib sealed the deal.

Yum. Complete. Soft. Great intensity. Resolved. Earth.
