Super easy going red for a simple meal of sausage and peppers over some penne. A great match.

The perfectly ashy flavor. It reminds me alot about a South African shiraz which is positive in my book. It has a sandy and deep ruby taste which intisyfies the dark berry flavour. Great wine!

Preferred the other barbera we had tonight. This one was more simple and I wasn’t inspired much.

I didn't care for this wine, but I was in the minority. Lots of dark fruit on the nose. Quite acidic (lots of brettanomyces that made it similar to a Belgian sour beer without the carbonation). Notes of dark chocolate on the end with a mildly dry finish. It was complex, but i wouldn't order it again.
