Batàr Toscana Chardonnay Pinot Blanc

Hazelnut, brioche, lemon, lychee, pear.

A blend of 50% Chardonnay & 50% Pinot Blanc, pale lemon with aromas of ripe stone fruits, floral and toasty oak notes. On the palate ripe apple and pear with slight citrus tang. Long finish ending with cedar, sweet spice and mineral character. Very nice, just starting to drink well.

Pale gold; medium minus intensity aromas of lemon, lime peel, citrus pith, mineral; dry, medium acid, medium plus alcohol, medium plus body, medium plus intensity flavors of lemon peel, grapefruit peel, orange peel, citrus pith, funky mineral, nuttiness, subtle bitterness; long finish, concentrated and balanced, very good

Oaky, smoky, golden apples, Star fruit and a touch of tangerine.

This 50-50 blend of Pinot Blanc and Chardonnay is now eight years old and shoes a lot of oxidative qualities. A fair amount of buttery, lactic notes detract from the initial impression - it has citrus and golden apple aroma and flavors but wants more acidity. Stony minerality on the medium finish.

Needed air and a warmer temperature, but then, much better. Creamy texture. Delicious.

Born in oak, apples, creamy, full bodied.

Lemon cream and melon tones. Fantastical tension between rich nose and lean body, full character and racy acids. Young, but wanting to drunk. Give her time and she will bloom.

Great balance....a different white!

Atypical Tuscan white blend combining Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco. Still incredibly young at this point, so quite closed. Comes off very Chablis-like with great lemon oil and seashell notes on the palate. This will be a neat wine to come back to after it has aged a bit.
