Last bottle. New year’s eve spash. Almost Madeira like. — 4 years ago
Actually, is 100% Merlot and is fabulous. One of best I've had and would not have readily thought it would be from Tuscany for this varietal. (2,000 bottles made) — 9 years ago
Querciabella, in Italian, means “beautiful oak” and surrounds their vineyards. Founded in 1974 by Giuseppe Castiglioni, now managed and owned by Sebastiano Cossia Castiglionii. Sangiovese from biodynamically grown grapes, Ruby, lovely nose of fruit, floral and spice. On the palate cherry and blackberry flavors with earthy herb notes and spicy cacao. Fine tannins, good balance, medium+ finish ending with earthy character. Nice value, consistent. — 7 months ago
Ruby color. Still a lot of dark red fruit with wet leaves and soil. Soft finish. — 6 years ago
Unlike left bank, this demonstrate a Italian IGT's herbal nose. Very perfume nose, the fruity palate resemble a younger wine — 7 years ago
Nov 2023: very nice after half an hour decant, black fruit, very soft, polished tannins. Would benefit if tannins were stronger, otherwise great wine. — a year ago

I really like it, and the blend adds some interesting undertones. I love most of what I have tasted from Querciabella. But it just doesn’t reach the heights of a proper Burgundy Chardonnay, so at this price point I’ll stay with French. — 2 months ago
