Vintage Porto

Stewed fruit, red and black. Earth. Coffee. Toffee. So bright whether or not given the vintage. Be careful with the cork. I should have used an ah-so and crumbled mine but gave it time to settle and all was well.

Opened up immediately on decant, deep flavors of candied plum, spice, and coffee. This really started clicking once we pulled out the Caveman Bleu to pair with it.

Beautiful and Liquor-like. Still very youthful

Typically not a port drinker but this one was well integrated, balanced and fairly complex

Herbal like nose at beginning, spicy nose, very peppery character, at first taste it has like a metallic note but that fades away with time, round but heavy style pulls some berries and light cherry notes - an ok aged vintage port #portwineday #winelover

This shows lovely sweet, ripe fruit, not Fonseca/Grahams level sweetness, but lovely nonetheless, medium-long finish, very good!!
