Ada Nada
Valeirano Barbaresco Nebbiolo
Friday night and I have opened the 2015 Ada Nada Valeirano Barbaresco.
On the nose there is cherry, raspberry, clay pot, anise, vanilla and spice.
On the palate I am getting tart cherry, tart raspberry, cranberry, all spice, matchsticks, anise and kiln dried clay.
This wine is medium in body and well structured with medium to + acidity and medium + fine tannins that moves nicely into a long tannic well balanced finish. It looks like it is going g to be a great weekend so please do the same and be safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Dried cherry, leather, sandalwood, caramel, faint potpourri notes on the nose. Maroon fading to brick red on edges of the glass, medium light body, more earthy & savory on the palate, nice frame of medium acidity ending with robust mouth-coating tannins but still a far cry from a young Barolo. I’m experiencing why #barbaresco is such a food friendly wine - set off so well with herby Porchetta and cremini mushroom creamy pasta.

Wine estate : Ada Nada
Designation : Barbaresco
Name : Valeirano
Country : Italy
Vivino : 4/5
Note : After a visit to the estate and a few purchases of bottles, I had forgotten them at the bottom of my cellar until the desire to taste a Nebbiolo and remember wonderful weekend spent in Piemonte. This winemaker is fantastic and works his vineyards with passion. His wine is gourmet, refined and charismatic. A garnet red robe with a floral nose, red fruits and slightly woody. In the mouth, a freshness and a subtle acidity very tasty. A final on elegant on the hazelnut and the undergrowth.
