Friday night and I have opened the 2015 Ada Nada Valeirano Barbaresco.
On the nose there is cherry, raspberry, clay pot, anise, vanilla and spice.
On the palate I am getting tart cherry, tart raspberry, cranberry, all spice, matchsticks, anise and kiln dried clay.
This wine is medium in body and well structured with medium to + acidity and medium + fine tannins that moves nicely into a long tannic well balanced finish. It looks like it is going g to be a great weekend so please do the same and be safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Messy and disjointed upon opening. Oak and alcohol heat ride on top of the red fruit. Medium finish. Revisited after two days and found it considerably better integrated and more elegant.

Faded ruby with orange highlights, nose strongly of camphor giving way to anisette and eventually rose petal. At this point very tight and reticent with tannins overpowering the palate. This is somewhat obtuse, clearly 2019 is needs time to come into balance. There is possibility here, very structured for sure…but red fruit buoyed by striking acidity with notes of tobacco/leather simmering in the background. My rating speaks to potential….2019 vintage.

Happy to say it’s in excellent shape! Very expressive and muted aged notes, with robust acidity and smooth tannins.
