Oh how I adore the color and the TASTE of this wine... Pietradolce Nerello Moscalese, fr Mt Etna, Sicily. Notes of black tar, violet & rose petal across the nose. Don't let this pretty soft see through color foul ya, cuz the mouthfeel is all dried cranberry, bright violet, tomato skin & perfectly sliced beef carpaccio. Yum! Excellent Chardonnay. It does have 100% ML fermentation, which normally I do not care for. But, this fermentation is done in a Burgundian style, while it is creamy, it is not overbearing. I do get Meyer lemon, creme brûlée, caramel, on the nose. On the palate, I get a lemon bar, key lime pie note, with a caramel finish. It has a wonderful acidity that will go well with any meal. #chardonnay #napavalleywines #winelife #perfectpairing — 8 years ago
