Darkest rosé ever. #georgianwine — 7 years ago
Says amber but looks transparent violet pink. Drinks like a dry red. Fascinating. #georgianwine — 8 years ago
Dry, saline, & with an attractive tingle. Appealingly rustic. Pear, tropical fruit, minerals; powerful & delicious. #georgianwine — 4 years ago

Not a bit of Georgian script anywhere on the bottle, but a big square of marketing copy on the back label. Ok, great—these wines need more exposure! Medium amber (amber—so much nicer than “orange”), light tannin, apricot, great acidity, and refreshing in a brilliant way. Perfect with a range of foods. A stunning value. #georgianwine — 4 years ago
Ojaleshi is a rare Georgian grape from the Samegrelo region of #Georgia. Silky tannins, lightly peppery, delightful. One of 650 bottles. Thanks to Doug Wregg of Caves de Pyrene for this lovely present, and to @danafrank & @andreaslonecker for hosting a supra in Portland worthy of sharing it! #georgianwine — 8 years ago

Lovely opening & mid-palate—fresh, supple, big black tea note, plum skins— followed by massively astringent tannic finish. Needs food. #georgianwine #kakheti — 4 years ago
